Zenpo ukemi is a forward break-fall. It is used when you are tripped, pushed, or just need to drop forward quickly. The form that I teach has specific structural and recovery details. For the structure, You must cup your hands palm down. Then hold them in a triangular angle in front of your face. This creates the proper structure in your frame to brace your fall and receive the ground.
