The French railroad association, Club Ferroviaire de Franche-Comté, had built a nearly realistic model railway layout in HO scale. The model train layout is constructed in various dioramas with individual sections showing the railway line along the Jura Mountains. Railroad modeling of rocks, trees, plants, power overhead lines and tunnels was the subject of many detailed studies.
